What does it take to be a Googoosh Fan?

 

     In one word I can tell you that it is not easy to be a Googoosh fan just as it is not easy to be Googoosh. Being a Googoosh fan is not as easy as buying her CDs and going to her concerts, every one does that, you have to be more involved.

   Being a supper star Googoosh has always had to face with the gossips created for her either by the media or by those who simply cannot stand the level of success she has achieved. It is unfortunately part of our culture to love the dead and admire the work of those who have passed on, and never appreciate the work of those who are alive and those who are especially successful. I was born in 1981 and consequently did not have the opportunity to be around during the second chapter of Googoosh’s carrier, however, I can refer to the magazine articles of the time and take the words of my parents and those I know to inference that Googoosh was never apart from allegations around her which constantly were developing. Some of which was only to assist the sales of many magazines which were highly dependent on the many photos and stories that were reported or created of Googoosh and others of jealousy and bitterness of those who can’t bare ones success.

      Now that she is among us instead of appreciating her existence time after time, attack after attack can be sited from those in the so called LA ‘media’ and those individuals who seek some unjustified arousal when they harass our beloved Googoosh over and over and over again.

    These are not at all easy to bare for us Googoosh fans, however because we not only adore Googoosh and her music and art we also adore her personality and character as a whole and as such we model her behaviour consequently for the longest time we chose to ignore these rubbish claims and statements and not to respond to those inhumane assaults on her; nonetheless after observing that these hungry dugs who will not get enough and enjoy so much in attacking her and that Googoosh on the other hand simply and rightfully does not respond to these unsatisfied rubbish behaviour we have decided that we cannot as die hard fans of her allow such bitterness to go on without appropriate defense any longer.

     It is the best feeling knowing that you are defending the goddess of Persian music and the goddess of performance and art. It is the best feeling to proudly announce that you are a Googoosh fan and to defend her is even of higher privilege. Unfortunately there is that sense that we should defend her due to the existence of individuals in our society who get outraged of other’s success and popularity.

    It is one thing to be an admirer and another to be a fan of Googoosh. Do not allow anyone to unjustifiably talk ill of her and do not allow them to question her character and her work. If you consider yourself to be a fan of Googoosh you ought to realize that there are responsibilities that come with that. Googoosh has never let us down and has always produced the best. Respectfully her fans will not let her down and will always to the best for her. Yes it is hard but it is worth every bit of it.
